Media: Turkey has restricted access to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
On December 19 in Turkey has restricted access to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube after the murder of the Russian Ambassador Andrei Karlov. About it reports The Daily Dot, citing the organization Turkey Blocks, which monitors the situation.
Earlier, the Turkish authorities have already taken such measures in relation to social networks in case of terrorist attacks and other emergencies. In July, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have been blocked in connection with the attempt of the military to hold the country a coup.
Many users used to bypass the Tor network. However, on 18 December, Turkey officially closed access to it. Blocking was carried out in the framework of the government program to ban anonymous networks.
