At the beginning of 2017 Facebook plans to launch support for the live broadcasts in the format of 360°. About this reported the official blog of the company.

Support spherical video appeared in the social network in September 2015. However, at the moment this option is not available for users of Facebook Live.

"In the coming months broadcasts in the format of 360° will be available for a larger number of public pages through the Live API. During the year, support for this format will be launched for all pages and profiles in Facebook," reads the company blog.

Recall that in YouTube to support 360-degree live broadcasts appeared in April of this year.
