Viber will be a platform for users to communicate with the business

Viber messenger will be a platform through which consumers can communicate with businesses: reservations at restaurants or buy any goods. This was stated by the new head of service Djamel Agaoua.

The launch of the updated version of Viber is planned for March 2017.

The company also wants to add the payment feature to the messenger, but it will not happen immediately, said Agawa.

"My primary goal is to expand the audience and make Viber is available for each user. In second place – security and privacy – the third transform Viber into a platform with additional services", — said the head.

Djamel Agaoua took the post of general director of Viber 2 Feb 2017. Previously, he was CEO of MobPartner, which is the provider of mobile advertising technology.

Previously in 2016 the number of registered users of Viber in Russia increased by 43%.
