Google Play turns 5
6 March 2017 the Google Play app store turned 5 years old. In honor of the anniversary, the company was named the most popular applications and games for all time of existence of the service.
In the ranking of top 5 applications of the first two positions were taken by Facebook and Facebook Messenger. In third place is the Internet radio Pandora. On the fourth and fifth lines were Instagram and Snapchat. It is noteworthy that the WhatsApp messenger was not included in this list.
The ranking of the most popular games headed Candy Crush Saga. It was followed by Subway Surfers, Temple Run 2, Despicable Me, Clash of Clans.
Google has also compiled lists of the best books, movies and music.
So, the most popular film was 'Interview' and the best – selling books - 'Fifty shades of grey', 'Hunger games" and 'Song of ice and fire'.
As for the music, the most popular among users was the album "25" singer Adele a song by British singer-songwriter ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud'.
