Twitter has revealed a bug in the Android app, which led to overreporting of impressions of advertisements among users of this platform.

The error affected the outcome of a single campaign that was conducted in the period from 7 November to 12 December 2016. According to data from Business Insider, shows they were inflated to 35%.

Currently, the bug is fixed. Now the company returns the money to the affected customers. According to data from Bloomberg, we are talking about small amounts – less than $1 each advertiser.

"As soon as we find a bug, we removed it and contacted the partners, whom she raised. Since it was a technical error, we are confident that the problem is solved", — said the representative of Twitter.
We will remind, in September, Facebook announced about the overestimation of the average time viewing a video ad. The reason for this was the exception to the statistics views lasting less than three seconds. At the moment the error is resolved.
