Turkey against Google
Antimonopoly office of Turkey launched an investigation against Google regarding the pre-application to the Android operating system. The Agency wants to find out he violated the company local legislation on the protection of competition, reports The New York Times.
The reason for the investigation was the complaint against Google filed last year by the company Yandex. It argues that the Internet giant has ordered mobile phone manufacturers to preinstall Google's services, if they want to use the latest version of the Android OS.
First, Turkey has refused to investigate a complaint of Yandex. However, after re-examination of the question of the Antimonopoly Agency changed its position. How long will the investigation, officials said.
Google does not agree, the press secretary said that no laws Google broke.
In Russia the same investigation has been completed. In September 2015 the Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) of Russia recognized the Google guilty of violating the competition law.
