Google added Gboard to iOS
Google updated the search app for iOS, adding to it the built-in keyboard Gboard, a widget with the trending queries and new 3D Touch features.
Gboard
Gboard, a keyboard with built-in Google search. To use Gboard on mobile device, go to Google App settings and select Google Keyboard.
Perhaps at that time it was only testing.
Trends
New widget "Trending on Google" will show the current Google Trends. It is displayed in the iOS notifications Centre. To access it via long press on the app icon or swipe right on the home screen. To install a widget, go to notification Center, scroll down, click "Edit" and add "Trending on Google".
3D Touch
In addition to access to Google Trends, the 3D Touch can now be used in several more ways. One of them is additional information on specific pages. To begin a new search, press and hold the G button at the bottom of the selected page.
With the 3D Touch user can also see previews of the content or Rich Card in SERP and Google Maps. To do this, press and hold the desired result.
The updated app is available for download in App Store.
For Android devices the virtual keyboard Gboard became available in December 2016.
