Google My Business launched a new feature that will allow you to begin the process of confirmation of rights to the account if contacting a previous owner is impossible.

Sometimes when the people who manage the account move on, we don’t always remember to take back control of the account until they’re gone and it’s too late.

If contact with the previous owner of the account did not work, now you can begin the process of re-verification automatically.

For this you need to send a request to the current owner. He'll get the message with the invitation to contact you, and you confirmation by e-mail. To check the status of your request by clicking the link in this letter.

If within 7 days no response, you need to click the link in the confirmation email and follow the instructions.
