The European Commission has approved a deal to buy the social network LinkedIn company Microsoft.
To avoid violations of the conditions of competition, Microsoft has agreed to assume certain obligations. In particular, the company will maintain the current level of compatibility with Office for competing social networks. It will also provide an opportunity for manufacturers and distributors of desktop PC install the LinkedIn framework operating Windows.
Microsoft agreed on buying LinkedIn for $26.2 billion in June this year. The new acquisition, the largest in the history of the company, will allow it to expand the range of services offered to the business.
In October it was reported that the transaction is expected to close before the end of 2016. Now companies will be able to complete this process in the coming days.
Under the agreement, after the merger of the social network will retain its brand, culture and independence.
