YouTube will disable the 30-second advertising without the option to skip
YouTube announced that in 2018, the 30-second ad without the ability to skip will be disabled. The change is intended to improve the experience of user interaction with the advertisement.
In the near future, broadcasts will focus on formats that work well for users and for advertisers.
Innovation will not affect more than short videos that last 15 or 20 seconds. Advertisers will still be able to use them to promote their products and services. The recommended format will be a 6-second ads splash which launched in last year.
According to experts, the rejection of 30-second commercials – is a logical step from YouTube. The company realized that users don't like ads without the ability to pass and began looking for ways to improve the use experience.
