My Marketing Story: I'm a long time digital marketer that started working in web development and online marketing in the late 1990s. After helping expand a scalable web solution for industry verticals ranging from recruiting to grocery, I worked on projects for companies like Toro, Supervalu and the U.S. Veteran's Administration.

My interest in online marketing drew me to an start-up PR agency, Misukanis & Rodgers. A few years after introducing a SEO service called TopRank to the PR agency, that service became the company: TopRank Marketing and I became the CEO.

I am very proud of my team at TopRank Marketing and their evolution into a top digital marketing agency that provides strategy, implementation and marketing program optimization services for Fortune 1000 B2B and B2C companies.

Besides working with an amazingly talented group of digital marketing pros, I'm the author of Optimize: How to Attract and Engage More Customers by Integrating SEO, Social Media and Content Marketing (Wiley) and have been a blogging for over 11 years at toprankblog.com.

I'm also an active public speaker and have given presentations, keynotes and workshops all over the world (San Francisco, New York, Minneapolis, London, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, Moscow, Sydney, Antwerp, Auckland, Mexico City, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Bucharest and Toronto) to name a few, on content marketing, influencer marketing, social media marketing, SEO and the convergence of marketing and PR.

My association involvement includes: BMA, MIMA and the PRSA. I've served as a board advisors for the DMA Social Media and Search Marketing Councils, Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association and for the SES and MarketingProfs B2B conferences.
