Google closes the service test contactless payments Hands Free. This was reported on the website of the project.
The same application will be closed on 8 February 2017, after which the company recommends that users switch to Android Pay.
The developers note that the program has shown positive results. Now they decided to focus their efforts to the introduction of technology to a wider audience.
Previously that Google began testing a payment service Hands Free in March 2016.
To make a purchase, a person was need to tell the cashier that he wants to pay with Google – I will pay with Google. Then he called his initials and the cashier confirmed the purchase, checking the photo in Hands-Free profile. Payment information was sent to the smartphone.
Testing was limited and conducted only in the Bay area of San Francisco in the United States.
