Google may have updated the algorithms against link spam
At the end of last week, Google may have updated its algorithms against link spam. About it writes Search Engine Land, citing the reports of the foreign webmasters.
The alleged update is being actively discussed on forums, which are attended by Black Hat SEO specialists. According to them, in the last few days Black Hat tactics began to work worse. Some webmasters noticed the same thing in relation to their PBN (private blog network). Others say that Google was slower to process the new links.
The members of the communities dedicated to White Hat methods of promotion have not noticed any changes in the positions of their sites.
According to the SERP tracking tools (MozCast, Algoroo, RankRanger and others), the change was launched in on 1 February.
Search Engine Land there are several versions of what it could be. Among them: algorithm update Penguin, the launch of a completely new algorithm (unlikely) or the application of sanctions in relation to PBN.
Google declined not comment.
