Google has updated My Business API
Google has updated My Business API to version 3.2. Now developers will be able to get through the programming interface local statistics such as:
- The total number of search queries;
- Impressions;
- Actions.
With the help of My Business API you can request data for each branch over the last 18 months and to create applications that summarize and visualize this information.
For example, a company with hundreds of sales offices will be able to easily compare and analyze trends in different branches – the number of hits, queries to send map directions, phone calls, etc. This information will allow us to assess the impact of marketing activities on to business.
Recall that Google introduced a service API My business in December 2015. Programming interface allows to manage the branches and offices of the company — to create new and edit existing data. Confirmation of the branches through the API is not supported.
In may 2016 Google has updated the API to version 3.0. In the new release there are functions to manage large amounts data of branches of the company.
In September, Google added two new features to My Business API. Including the possibility of adding the URL attributes (e.g., restaurant menu) and subscribe to push notifications of customer feedback.
