About 40 foreign IT-companies will pay a "tax on Google" in Russia
The Federal Tax Service (FTS) has put on the account for the payment of tax Google, Apple, Microsoft, Samsung Electronics, a football club Chelsea, Netflix, and another 12 companies. From January 1, began to operate the law about the taxation of electronic services provided by foreign companies, including those related to the delivery of any content — games, the respective electronic services on the territory of the Russian Federation. Just at the moment registration was filed by 39 companies, of which in addition listed on the account delivered to: Wargaming, Paddle.com Market Limited, Nintendo, Paddle Payments Limited, Innova Co S. a r.l., KNIGOLUB LTD, Ten Square Games Sp. z o.o. Valve Corporation, Аvangate BV, Digital River Ireland Limited Digital River GmbH, DR MyCommerce Ireland Limited.
According to head FNS, next week is expected statements of group companies Amazon. The registration deadline is January 31.
We will remind, the law on introduction of VAT on sales of digital services, so-called "tax on Google", was signed by the Russian President on 4 July 2016. From 1 January 2017, the law began to operate and now foreign IT-companies have to pay the Russian VAT of 18%.
The Federal tax service in July of last year has developed a portal "VAT office Internet companies", which foreign IT-companies can pay a "tax on Google" remotely. The service began operating on 1 January 2017.
