Google offers $100 million for the development of algorithm for video autotagging
Google announced about the beginning of a competition to create an algorithm for automatic classification and tagging the video. The competition platform is Kaggle. The total prize Fund is $100 thousand.
Participants will work with a dataset YouTube-8M V2. It is based on 7 million of YouTube videos (total duration – 450 thousand hours) and contains labels from the dictionary, including 4716 classes (average 3.4 label for one video).
Cash awards will be awarded to the five best participants. Rewards will be distributed as follows:
- 1st place – $30 thousand;
- 2nd place – $25 thousand;
- 3rd place – $20 thousand;
- 4th place – $15 thousand;
- 5th place – $10 thousand.
To apply for participation in the competition is possible until March 26, 2017. The competition will finished until June 3, 2017.
