Google added to the AMP pages direct links to the publishers websites
Google changed the design of the AMP pages in search engine results page. Now users will be able to see direct links to the publishers sites and share them.
Google creates a copy AMP content and shows it with their own servers. The company claim that this speeds up rendering pages and more secure for users. However, this approach caused discontent among publishers and some users, as earlier it was impossible to go to the website of the publisher from the AMP pages.
The link that was contained in AMP content was on the main site page and not to a specific page. It looked like this:
However, the problem was not in it. When users share AMP pages URLs outside of Google, links are redirected to the publishers websites.
At this time in the browser address bar still shows the Google URLs AMP content. Under the heading of the page displays general link to the publisher site and a new button chain. Clicking on it will show the direct URL that the user will be able to copy and paste
After holding the button will become available the native function of the browser "Share" (this option is implemented in Safari, but not in Google Chrome).
When yuser u click on the menu icon three dots, the user can read background information about how the displayed AMP.
The update is already running in the Google app for iOS. In the Android version it will appear in the coming weeks.
That Google plans to change the design of the AMP when viewing search results it became known at the end of 2016.
