Cross-browser term explained
Cross-browser compatibility — inherent site characteristic, implying its correct display in all popular browsers or compatibility of your website with client applications.
The website does not must to be pixel by pixel same in all browsers.
Can be accepted as correct display in the following cases:
- The structure of the website is stored;
- No unintended overlapping text to another text and text on images;
- Saved overall readability of the information on the page.
When you test cross-browser compatibility, it is customary to use the latest versions of browsers such as:
- Edge;
- Google Chrome;
- Opera;
- Mozilla FireFox;
- Safari.
